After years of running full throttle, I'm taking a little break.

I'm unemployed, and it's absolutely awesome.

On the downside: My country is in shambles, recovering from the wreckage of Typhoon Ondoy (Hurricane Ketsana).

Despite the horrendous destruction - Filipinos everywhere are uniting to help one another.

So there is at least, a glimmer of hope in a sea of mud & wreckage.

Now if we can convert that hope into action (especially with the coming presidential elections)

and pray - as the African proverb says - while moving our feet.
